Here are 10 tips to get you on your way. If you stick to them you will be successful.
 
  1. Make a decision. Commit to losing weight. It may sound funny, like Guru speak but this stuff really works. Tell yourself that "Now is the time, I'm going to lose weight and I will be successful"
  2. Set a Goal, this is your ideal weight. Then set targets. These are just mile stones to check that you are on target.
  3.  Weigh yourself at the start of the diet. Then once weekly at the same time and in the same state of dress. Do Not weight yourself daily. This is a mistake that many dieters make. Your weight will fluctuates daily.
  4. Make a list of everything that you eat daily. You will only have to do this for about a week. We all have problems remembering how much and what we have eaten during the day. You can use the daily sheet provided on the Resource page for this.
  5.  Be honest with yourself. We all know what we have to do we have just got to get started.
  6. It alright to slip a bit. We all have bad days. It's not the end of the world. This ties in with the last tip. You can always make it up.
  7. It's not a race. You will get there if you stick at it. So what if you go past your target date. Never give up. You can do it.
  8. Don't become disheartend when you hit the dreaded Plataeu. That is the most dangerous time when many give up. And you will hit the Plateau.
  9. Exercise. There I said it. If you really want success you have to exercise. It does not have to be punishing. A brisk walk at about 3mph for 2 to 3 miles daily is enough. If you can do more then better still. Instead of using the car for short journeys try walking. Use the stairs instead of the lift. Simple things all add up. This works wonders. Exercise also speeds up your weight loss, and improves your fitness levels
